Synopsis: San Francisco police detective Nick (Michael Douglas) is assigned to investigate a bizarre icicle homicide. The victim, a depraved rock star, was seen returning home with his girlfriend Catherine (Sharon Stone) before he was killed. Nick came to Catherine’s house, only to find that this beautiful woman turned out to be bisexual. Catherine is also a shrewd and capable best-selling novelist. She told Nick that she often had intimate contact with different types of men for the characters in the novel, and that her relationship with rock stars was also for this purpose. Nick soon discovered that the plot in Catherine’s new book was about the murder of a rock star, and Nick basically concluded that Catherine was the murderer.
